I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
